Clinical Supervision

Supervision is more than just ticking boxes for licensure—it's a space to grow your clinical voice, build confidence, and feel supported as you navigate the early years of your career. My goal is to create a space that’s collaborative, encouraging, and grounded in real-world clinical work.

Supervisory Goals

1. Promote Clinical Competence

  • Help you develop strong assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning skills.

  • Support you in using evidence-based interventions appropriately and effectively.

2. Foster Professional Identity & Confidence

  • Encourage the development of your personal therapeutic style.

  • Help you gain confidence in decision-making and clinical judgment.

3. Ensure Ethical & Legal Practice

  • Guide you in understanding and applying ethical standards and legal responsibilities.

  • Help you navigate tricky or gray areas in clinical practice.

4. Strengthen Self-Awareness

  • Encourage reflection on countertransference, personal triggers, and client dynamics.

  • Support in developing insight into how your own experiences and identities impact your work.

5. Support Skillful Documentation & Case Conceptualization

  • Teach strong documentation habits (notes, treatment plans, progress tracking).

  • Help you build clear, culturally-informed case formulations.

6. Prevent Burnout & Encourage Self-Care

  • Normalize the emotional weight of clinical work.

  • Encourage boundary-setting, support systems, and sustainable practices.

7. Prepare for Licensure & Long-Term Growth

  • Help supervisees meet board requirements.

  • Offer mentorship on navigating career paths, imposter syndrome, and setting professional goals.

Clinical Supervision

I’m a Maryland board-approved supervisor for LGPCs, with supervision experience that began in 2019 while serving as Program Director of an intensive outpatient (IOP) addiction treatment program. Over the course of my career, I have extensive experience facilitating group therapy, individual sessions, family sessions, psycho-education groups for families, and provided case management support. I transitioned into private practice in November 2022, where I now focus primarily on individual therapy and have continued to expand my clinical skills, training, and comfort working with a diverse range of clients.

I approach supervision with an integrative lens grounded in evidence-based practices like: DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care.

With experience in clinical, leadership, and administrative roles, I’m also equipped to support supervisees in areas like documentation, professional boundaries, insurance processes, and navigating burnout.

Feel free to explore my About Me and Individual Therapy pages to get a better sense of my clinical style, the clients I typically work with, and the modalities I use. If this resonates with you, I’d be glad to connect and explore if we’d be a good fit for supervision.
